Golf Courses in Thailand
HUA HIN
one of the most popular holiday regions in Thailand and approx. 170 km far
from Bangkok.

Majestic Creek Country Club Designed by Dr. Sukkitti
Klangvisai, the same Thai golf course designer as who is responsible for
Phuket's Loch Palm and Bangkok's Ratchakram golf clubs, Majestic Creek features
rolling hilly terrain with tricky greens. A 7,123 yard layout that provides
a range of different, well designed challenges to the player. Low handicappers
will especially appreciate the course design which features many challenging tee
shots. There are significant carries over lakes and a maze of streams wind
around the course. Almost all the holes have water hazards (small lakes or
creeks) as well as several bunkers. For a good score, precise shots and good
nerves are required. One of the holes is an astonishing 770 yards long, the
longest par 5 in Thailand. Try hitting that one in two!

Banyan Golf Club - Hua Hin Golfplatz Built among a
pineapple plantation, Banyan Golf Club in Hua Hin opened in October 2008. The
course provides for spectacular mountain and ocean views from most all of the
holes and is one of the best layouts in the area. In fact Banyan Golf Club won
the 2009 Best New Golf Course in Asia as voted for by the readers of Asian Golf
Monthly.

Black Mountain Golf Club - Hua Hin Golfplatz Black
Mountain is one of newer Hua Hin golf courses. The golf course was transformed
from lush jungle and pineapple plantations and is set in a valley, just next to
the "Black Mountain’s", which are so named because of the large black rocks set
into the mountains, providing a nice backdrop to many of the holes. The golf
course looks as natural as possible and maintains many of the original features
of the site. The most important of these are the natural creeks that run
throughout the course and the rocks that have been used as design features on
many of the holes. Many of the original trees have been kept and many new trees
have been planted to frame the holes.

Imperial Lake View Golf Club The Imperial Lake View Hotel
& Golf Club offers the first 36 hole Golf course in Hua Hin and is a good
example of a top quality Hua Hin golf course. The golf course is a favorite with
both residents and visitors to the area and is situated a bit inland amongst
small farms & pineapple plantations on a large parkland parcel. For many
golfers this is the most beautiful course in this region.

Palm Hills Golf Club and Residence The golf course is
laid out on a long strip of undulating terrain which gives the course a Scottish
"links" feel, which is different from all the other courses in the area. The Max
Wexler layout goes from east to west, with lakes at each end, separated by the
clubhouse and an interesting rocky outcrop extending from the mountain range.

Springfield Village Golf & Spa The course at
Springfield has been designed to meet the high demands of a recognized
championship golf course, and yet it remains an enjoyable challenge for golfers
of all standards. Each hole has a minimum of five tees to play from, but only
the brave, and those regularly rub shoulders with the world's best will venture
from the black tee. Water hazards regularly come into play and each hole
presents it own individual challenge and character requiring finesse or
unrestraint. Accuracy is required at all times as the fairways are flanked by a
series of hillocks and covered by a forest of small
trees.

Royal Hua Hin Golf Club Royal Hua Hin is the oldest
18-hole international standard course in Thailand and is only 5 minutes from
downtown Hua Hin. The course was commissioned in 1924 to accommodate the
interests of the British railway workers and Thai aristocracy living in the
area. Bering of traditional older British golf course design, the course is
constructed on natural terrain and set between some spectacular rocky hills.
Excellent views of the Gulf of Thailand and the city center are possible from
several of the holes. A major renovation in the 1980's brought this course up
to international standards, despite its age. Mature tree lined fairways are now
abundant making for many shaded lies. The Par 3 18th is particularly impressive
with a Thai temple in the back drop of the already challenging
hole.
