New Zealand seems to have been created for the golfer. Some 400 greens
in a relatively small country that consists of two islands. To this you
add clean air, a great natural scenery and friendly "Kiwis", as the New
Zealanders like to call themselves. It is almost impossible to travel 50
kilometres in the coach without passing by a golf course. You find the
greens along the beach, close to a spectacular mountain backdrop, on a vinery,
or even next to steaming thermal sources. Even sheep can be encountered on
the green plains and hills. New Zealand is a country full of contrasts and
with a British touch. |
